The Cover Designs That Didn't Make The Cut

I thought I would share with you two covers that were offered to me by my designer (damonza.com) just before Ocean Isle was published. He offered me three choices, and obviously I went with the girl-on-beach theme. Here are the other two covers that I ultimately passed up...but on these two you at least get a better visual of Emma's identity. This is the face I saw in my head every day when I sat down at my computer to work on the novel. This is the face of Emma.

An interview I did for my novel, Ocean Isle, for the BOOK 'EM NORTH CAROLINA WEBSITE. Thanks to p.m. terell for taking the time!

News: Ocean Isle now available "exclusively" on amazon

I have entered into an agreement to have Ocean Isle distributed exclusively by amazon. The novel will be available for Kindle, and in trade paperback formats on the amazon site. The book will no longer be available on the Barnes and Noble site for Nook. The benefits of this agreement were just too good to pass up, and it goes without saying that amazon stands as the dominant platform for indie authors. Thanks for your support.

OCEAN ISLE NOW AVAILABLE FOR KINDLE!

Ocean Isle for Kindle

Author's note: At long last the novel is available. I look forward to your feedback and reviews...for better or worse. If the story resonates with you, I only ask that you help spread the word via social media outlets...tell a friend on Facebook. I sincerely appreciate your help in getting the word out that my debut novel is now available. I encourage you to leave reviews, good or bad. The good reviews will spur sales and interest, while the bad ones will help make me a better author. The paperback should also be available on amazon early next week, as soon as I get the proof and approve the print (in process as we speak). I chose a 6x9 (over the 5x8) size-format for the novel, which shrunk the page count (more words per page on the 6x9). The page count would be approx. 327 pages on a more traditional 5x8, but comes in at 270 pages in the 6x9. Anyway, now it's time to get started on my next novel. I hope everyone has a great Christmas season. God bless you all!!

My debut novel: OCEAN ISLE has just been uploaded to retailers: Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Should be live in 24 hours or less. Kindle. Nook. Paperback. Looking forward to your feedback and reviews...for better or worse. I'll post links here as they become available. Stay tuned.
